Day 3 after Grand Opening of Zippy's Kahului

Okay, so we go to Zippy's Kahului after work at night, expecting to be able to sit down and relax and eat in the restaurant side. NOPE! Restaurant side is closed! Short-stafffed, we're told. Okay, so it's almost 1 am, and so the only other option is of course, take-out side. We order our zip pacs, and chil and rice, and it takes almost half an hour to get our order. EH?! I don't mind, the food is worth the wait but it was a bit disappointing. The chicken to my zip pac was overcooked and fish was overcooked and dry as well. We were there on Grand Opening Day, and the food was EXCELLENT and service was lickety split. Tonight, not so. While we were eating, a whole bunch of people came in, and they had to wait quite awhile for their food as well. It was only day the 3rd night after Grand Opening, and already short-staffed. I wonder how it's going to be when it's Friday/Saturday, when the crowd from the clubs and bars come in, expecting full service?!?! Hmmmmm........???

Aloha and thank you for the feedback about Zippy's Kahului.
As you may have read, prior the the Grand Public Openning, the company held two private soft opennings in efforts to train the staff. They had not previous training at any other location, although I believe they were given the opportunity to train at the Oahu locations. We sent up about 53 helpers from various Oahu loactions to help with training and support, along with my fellow co-workers in our dept.

The store was expecting to hire about 125 and currently have about 115 if not less. So yes, it's not a surprise that there may be times that the Restaurant side may close during the grave hours, we have the same problem down here on Oahu.

Please do not hesitate to speak with the Manager on duty about the quality of food. It is good feedback and the staff should be aware of these things that are happening. Again, thank you for the feedback and patience. I will get back to my co-workers up there about the checking the quality of the food that is being sent out to customers.
