Zippy's Take-Out Containers Feedback

To our valued customers...

Zippy's Restaurants is committed to being a responsible business and is looking for ways to help take care of our environment for future generations. As we move into the future, we are taking steps towards going "green".

Being committed to environmental initiatives, Zippy's Restaurants have taken steps towards becoming more green by replacing our black foam take out plates with a new plate and design. In the near future, we will also be replacing other containers with more "green" products. As Zippy's Restaurants continues to lead in Hawaii's restaurant industry, we believe that these changes will help sustain our islands for future generations.

This new take out plate design has the following benefits:
• It's made of type 5 (polypropylene) recyclable plastic.
• The new plate is microwaveable.
• The ribbing and curve design provides more structural strength compared to the black foam plate.
• The cover snaps on, and small "U" shape vents allow excess steam/pressure to escape while retaining most of the food temperature.

You will see these new plates rolling out in all stores, and as always, we welcome your feedback. What do you think of this new plate design? Do you have any suggestions for further improvement with our containers? We value your feedback and your contribution to help Zippy's Restaurants with our sustainability initiatives.

Hi Jay,

Happy New Year to you! Kudos to Zippy's for being environmentally concerned. I like the design of the new container, but haven't had a meal served in that container yet. I was one of the people who didn't like the old container because the cover would always pop off in transit. I always had to ask the very accommodating Zippy's staff to secure the cover with rubber bands. I am looking forward to trying the new container.
