hamburger steak

zippy's made the best hamburger steak before.

i dont know how long ago this happened, but the last 2 times i had hamburger steak, it was just plain awful. wtf happened? bring back the old hamburger steak please? now it is thinner yet more "rough", the gravy is thinner and much more oily, and i find myself constantly spitting out hard bits from the hamburger steak.

Good afternoon hmbrgrstk, and thank you for your feedback.

Zippy's restaurants have switched to a fresher, locally grown beef for our hamburger steaks, Primeburger, and hamburger patties. This switch has been effective since the beginning of September.

Your feedback is appreciated and will be forwarded to our Menu Planning Committee!

Thank you for your time,
Jay

surely it can't be only due to a different beef? it seems to be prepared differently, both times i had it was kind of overcooked i think?

Good afternoon, hmbrgstk -

Zippy's recipes for our hamburger patties had been adjusted when the local beef was utilized. Because of that, the patties' preparation times had adjusted. It may be possible that the older procedures of cooking the hamburger steak patty was still used in preparing your burgers. We will remind our stores to follow the current procedures of cooking the patties.

Thank you for your time,
Jay

Thank you for your feedback, and we would like to get more detailed information. We would like to know what you do not like specifically about our hamburger steak, as well as where and when you usually go to get a hamburger steak plate. As you had been a regular consumer of our hamburger steak, we value your feedback, especially since you have expresssed concern from before in previous posts.

In a previous post, you had mentioned about hard bits. That's a concern if it's still happening, as we had addressed it with our vendor. You had also mentioned it being rougher, and so if it's a texture issue, it leads us to believe it may be due to cooking/preparation. We welcome your continued feedback.

Thank you for your time,

Jay
