The decision to discontinue the Shintani Cuisine line in 2004 was due to the lack of popularity and low sales. Our Menu Planning Committee has been working on new items to add more "healthier" options, such as our TLC (Tofu Lettuce Cucumber) Salad. We have more in store for 2009 so be on the lookout!

Mahalo for your feedback

Aloha dawne2dawn,

While we do not offer specific boca burgers, for example, a "teriyaki boca burger" or a "mushroom boca burger", our boca burgers can be ordered with "add-ons" such as teriyaki sauce, cheese, bacon, or mushrooms, for an additional cost.

On a side note, our Hamburger Steak plate can also be substituted with a boca patty.

Please try one on your next visit!

Mahalo!

Thank you Nathan for the response. My suggestion would be to do the substitution with the Boca burger at no additional cost versus "add-ons" which cost more as the Boca burger already costs close to $3.00 more as it is. My family and I are trying to eat healthier and unfortunately have not found too many places that offer reasonable prices for these and we absolutely love Zippyʻs.

Thank you!

Aloha dawne2dawn,

We encourage all our guests to eat healthier; I will forward your suggestion to our menu planning committee for review, and to hopefully make eating healthier at Zippy's more affordable.

Mahalo!

Your mac salad in MY kitchen ; )

OK, I know Zippy' will never ever ever ever divulge the proprietary recipe for the best mac salad on the planet.

I have made several recipes, including the original Best Foods mac salad recipe. Not as good. I even used the slightly different dressing recipe for Best Foods potato salad, to make mac salad. I liked that better, but none compares to Zippy's.

Like you did w/the butter-roll request person, can you offer a non-proprietary but still creamy and yummy alternative? (I promise I'll keep coming to Zippy's for the real thing!!!!)
