We'd like to see the teriyaki spareribs return in your specials menu. My husband and I loved it and it's not something you can find on the menu at other restaurants.

Aloha hungrymom,

Our teriyaki spareribs were discontinued about 6-7 years ago, due to poor sales. As with all our menu items, if enough of Hawaii wants it back, we will definitely make it happen!

If anyone else out there would like to see our teriyaki spareribs back on the menu, please let me know!

Mahalo,
Nathan

not a dish, but I miss it

Once upon a time, Zippys (and everyone else) used to offer pototo salad.

This was replaced by macaroni salad, but I missed the taste of potato salad.

Although not available at the fast food only locations, our potato salad is still available in the restaurant/fast food locations as a side order; it cannot be substituted for mac salad on existing plates.

I join other posters in asking that you give the Shintani Cuisine another try! When it was on the menu, I was a a regular customer -- once a week, sometimes more often. Since you discontinued it, I've been to Zippy's once or twice a <year>! Boca Burgers and tuna salad just don't have it -- and they're easily available elsewhere. Dr. Shintani's meals were one of a kind, and worth frequent trips to Zippy's. And of course when I went to Zippy's for Dr. Shintani, that meant I also picked up 2 or 3 non-Shintani meals for my kids -- sales lost to Zippy's when no Shintani food was available. And the times have changed -- there's even more interest now in healthy eating than years ago. Give it another try and see how sales do -- and take into account whether buyers of Shintani food <also> buy other items, adding to Zippy's bottom line.

Question of the Month Winner

Been trying to cut back on my rice intake... I had the Portuguese Sausage Omlette with a bowl of Chili (gave away the crackers) the other day. Maybe a Chili Omlette (choice of Chili folded into a scrambled egg) might be a change of pace or maybe a simple Cheese Omlette covered in Chili.

Hello harrycovair,
I am excited to inform you that we do have a Chili Omelette in our regular breakfast menu! It was introduced in November 2008. Let us know your feedback!

Do you have whole wheat bun option for burgers? Also whole wheat pasta is delicious option for spaghetti dishes.

Aloha Whimzee,

We do not offer a whole wheat bun yet, but is something that we've been looking in to. We had whole wheat spaghetti, but it was recently discontinued due to low sales. Depending on customer response such as yours, we may bring it back in the future.
